Fall Decorating Ideas |
Pansies
and Violas make for wonderful winter color. They come in a variety of colors
and styles and compliment your winter containers as well as coloring up your
planting beds. This year I planted the purple and yellow Jonny Jump-ups along
my front entry. I plan on putting the purple and orange pansies in the containers
to match.
Ornamental
cabbages and kale make a striking statement in containers and planting beds.
They also make great garnishes for fall and winter dishes. Both are edible and
very tasty as well. Try them in soups or just grilled in olive oil with onions.
Yum!
Fall
is not complete without the Chrysanthemums and Asters. Although these only bloom
through fall, their color and intensity make them well worth the investment.
Use them in containers and plant them later or plant them in borders and shrub
beds for late color every season. Trim them to the ground when they are finished
blooming.
